1st grade students listened to the story Mouse Paint by Ellen Stoll Walsh which explains how when mixed, primary colors create secondary colors. However, to prove this we conducted an experiment by mixing colored water to show:
Red + Yellow = Orange, Blue + Yellow = Green, Red + Blue = Purple
Then students completed a Color Equation worksheet to show understanding.
