 2nd grade completes different pages of an ABC
 art themed book throughout the school year. 

 

 

 

 

Cardinals

3rd grade first created a practice drawing of a cardinal bird sitting on a tree branch.  Then students redrew the image on larger paper and used three different mediums to complete their project.  Marker for the branches, crayon for the background and parts of the bird, and red paint for the male cardinal feathers and red berries in the tree.

 

 

 

Oil Pastel Mugs

 5th graders designed a mug & saucer sitting on
a split horizon background using oil pastels.

 

 

 

 

Family

 Kindergarten focused on using shapes to draw pictures of their family.

 

 

 

Perspective Snowmen

4th grade drew snowmen from the perspective of looking at them
 from the ground up. Then students used watercolors to paint.

 

 

Snowman Stack

1st grade assembled a snowman stack by first cutting and gluing down circles.  Then students created winter hats, added carrot noses, drew facial details, and finished their project by adding snowflakes to their background.
