All grade levels started the school year with a listening and following direction activity. Students were given a paper containing various objects. I then gave directions to find an item and color it a certain way within a limited time frame. This was a fun, fast paced activity to promote not only helping each other, but staying quiet enough as a class to hear the next direction.
