5th grade left their mark by creating a graffiti style project. We first watched a video about Graffiti and discussed if it’s art or vandalism. Then students assembled a brick wall, adding highlights and shadows to the bricks giving the illusion of a 3D surface.
Afterwards students practiced and drew a word using block style lettering. Then they painted their word, outlined and added additional details if needed, before cutting it out and gluing it onto their brick wall background.
