Paper Collages

After discussing the cutout artworks by Henri Matisse, 3rd grade created their own paper collages using only scissors and glue.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Silly Sandwich

4th grade students designed a silly sandwich with the craziest things between their bread.

 

Flowers

1st grade glued green stems onto their background paper, and then cut and added different colored circles for flowers.

Robots

2nd grade drew grayscale robots, along with a colorful background.

  

 

 

Drawing Dogs

Kindergarten listen to a story about dogs, they "let the dogs out" dancing to a video, then followed along with visual directions to create two dog drawings.

 

 

Abstract Figure

4th grade create an abstract figure with an exaggerated head and shoes. Students then colored their figures using pointillism, small dots to fill in an area with color.

 

 

Ladybugs

KG students glued green blades of grass onto their background paper.  Afterwards, they cut and glued on red circles, before painting heads with antennas and black dots.

 

 

 

Asymmetrical Butterflies

5th grade designed an asymmetrical butterfly and outlined their pencil marks with glue.  Once dry, they used chalk to fill in area with color.

  

  

 

Painted Cats

2nd grade drew and painted cats inspired by artwork from Laurel Burch.
