Color Representation

5th graders learned about color meanings and symbolic shapes. Students then combined the two to create a symbol or picture to represent each primary and secondary color.

Landscapes

2nd graders have been discussing landscapes and identifying the different parts of a picture: foreground, middle ground, and background.

Secondary Crayons

Kindergarten learned about the three secondary colors: Orange, Green, and Purple. Students spelled out the colors names, watched a video describing the color and then danced to a color song. They also filled in a white paper crayon with each secondary color, used scissors to cut each crayon shape out, and then glued them onto a background paper.

Warm or Cool Hands

3rd grade identified and used warm and cool colors. To start their project, students traced objects to create a circular pattern filling up their paper.  Then they traced and outlined their hand shape. Students then chose to color and show either a warm or cool colored hand, on an opposite colored warm or cool colored background.
